Description: Twisted Fork has to be the best happy hour in downtown Houston. They boast 20 beers on tap that rang from $1.50-$3.00. Cheap well drinks, $4.00 house wine, and $4.00 martini of the day. They also offer select full portion appetizers at half price. They play good music, and they have 5 plasma televisions with separate receivers. I wouldn’t call Twisted Fork a "sports bar", but I can usually catch my favorite sporting event on one of the TV's. The quality of drink at Twisted Fork is commendable, they do not use jiggers, they free-pour. If you take care of the bartenders and servers, they will take care of you. I'm a regular for happy hour and I know they handle many large groups for happy hour parties, since they are located in a very corporate part of downtown Houston they have to. They have well over 20 specialty martinis on their menu that will appeal to a wide range of drinkers. The restaurant itself has a very nice atmosphere with a very classy, swanky feel to it. All of the booths and chairs are covered with dark red leather; the dining room consists of dark hard woods, flagstone accents, custom lighting and artwork. They are located within walking distance from all major downtown sporting venues, and top notch hotels such as; The Four Seasons, and Hilton America. I'm a devoted regular at the Twisted Fork, and I love that I have the perfect place to take my clients out for a great dinner, or just a few cocktails and some business chat.
